Borough Market

This is one of the best markets in London. Borough Market is located near the London Bridge, the exquisite design of the bridge will make your mood good and the market offers a wide range of food and other products.

It was Saturday, I still remember, when I went out with my friend. She said she will take me to some place where I can find amazing varieties of take-away foods and other products. I was new in London and did not know much markets and she helped me a lot. I used to go out with her but that was the day when I was overwhelmed with something like Borough market.

The market was literally packed and we had to struggle as we walked. One can find a lot of people buying stuff from this market. No wonder why this is considered as one of the best markets. You can find a number of salesmen selling various commodities. You can find almost everything here from oils to fried and baked food items. Vegetables are fresh from farm and fruits are juicy and delicious. I am a food lover and I love eating good and delicious food. Borough Market is really cool! The only down side is if you go on Saturday, the place is absolutely packed. The food really is amazing. I've never been to Paris, but I have a French friend that says this market makes her feel like she's in Paris!!

The Market has so many vendors with all sorts of food...ranging from fresh meats, cheese, vegetables, breads, wine, dessert, poultry, fish...and many many many more things! There are vendors that specialize in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and others that sell special sauces and dips...it is truly a food lovers paradise. There are plenty of stands that sell fresh take away foods...from all regions of the world. You should definitely come to this place hungry because whatever you crave, Borough Market will definitely have it!

I would say the best day to go is probably during the week, maybe a Thursday or a Friday...there will probably be less vendors, but it is difficult to fully appreciate the market when it is so packed with people as it normally is on Saturdays when you can't easily get to the different stands...and taste all of the samples they are providing!!

This place is located very near the London Bridge underground station. When the market is up, it will be pretty difficult to miss, just follow the people....Enjoy!... read more
