People's opinions
If you're in the centre of London and are looking for a Chinese restaurant the best place to go is China Town, there’s no question to it. But as you're walking on Gerrard Street (China Town's main road) you just don't know which restaurant to choose... for most of the restaurants they look alike and in my case I am not a Chinese food specialist so I just didn't know which restaurant to pick! I'm sure I was not the only person with that problem; I could see groups of people stopping at each restaurant, looking through the windows and checking the menus.
No knowing which restaurant to chose, we decided to pick the restaurant with the most Chinese in it as they probably know best and that's how we ended up choosing Harbour City Restaurant.
As we were very hungry we decided to take the fish menu for as least two people and a Chinese tea to drink.
The dishes were served little by little and it just wouldn't stop! Prawns, lobster, rice dishes, seafood... The food was delicious, I think it was one of the best Chinese I have ever had. Quantity wise there was plenty for two and you could ask for rice refills. After the main course there was not desert included in the menu. I didn't end up asking for a desert because we didn't have much time to spare but I wouldn't have said no if it came with the menu. And especially because we ended up paying 30 pounds per head! it was a little more expensive than the other dishes because it was a seafood and fish menu.
In overall I was really satisfie... read more
