The Crusting Pipe

Crusting Pipe is a great place to find a nice bottle of wine as well as a great meal! The only problem is that you have to be able to pay the price… As this restaurant is so well situated (right on the Covent Garden market) and is always packed with tourists the prices have gone way too high. I simple meal with wine can easily cost you 40 pounds! However at lunch time you can get away with a reasonable price if you order a menu or you can not have a dish but a sort of little snack.
A part from the excessive price Crusting Pipe is an adorable place to have dinner it is well decorated and there are perfect places for two people tables which make it even a little romantic. In summer there is a great terrace just in front which as you guessed is very often packed. As for the food it is typically English and is very good.

Crusting Pipe is not only a wine bar however I tend to come here only for the bar side. You can get wine by the bottle or by glass but it’s a little more expensive. I really like the place there’s a good vibe especially on the terrace and once in a while there are musicians that play.
Not bad at all compared to all the tourist traps in Covent Garden
