The Murcury is a French restaurant (with a little English touch) in between Angel and Highbury Islington. This place is only known by the locals I discovered the place while talking to my neighbours who have been in Islington their whole life and who know I’m half French.
As a French I can say that the food is very good but it isn’t typical French food there is a slightly different touch to it which makes it unidentifiable.
There weren’t many people at The Mercury when I went there but I would advise you to make a reservation before going because the place is tiny and this is what gives it all it’s charm. Well the very cheap bill also gives the place a good charm :-).
