I finally found a place in London which serves frog legs! The place is called Le Sacré-Coeur Bistro, yes of course a French restaurant. I had never tried them before and was looking forward to it. It is actually my husband who brought me to this restaurant for our second anniversary.
It was a little weird eating the frog legs first of all because you think about the poor little frogs and then well because you’re eating frog legs!!! They actually don’t taste bad at all, the taste is very soft and you don’t get much so after your dish don’t be astonished if you’re still a little hungry.
Apart from the frog legs the Sacré-Coeur Bistro is a charming little place I could perfectly imagine a French Bistro in the south of France being exactly like this. If you don’t fancy frog legs you can have an omelette or a croque monsieur or croque madame (a croque madame is a croquet monsieur with an egg on top of it). As for the desert we had the Tatin pie which is the French version of an apple pie it is actually delicious; it has a little caramel on the top and you eat it with a little whipped cream.
If you’re not into the French food don’t worry there’s the good old English stuff like sausage and mash.
I think that Le Sacré-Coeur Bistro is a great place to try out some typical French food for a reasonable price.
