Leon

Leon is known for its delicious smoothies and I who am a self proclaimed smoothies specialist really do agree that they are very good. But Leon is first of all a restaurant and a very nice one too, the food here is Mediterranean/indian and falafels and couscous are my favourite. I’ve already been here twice and each time I was here with a big group of friends and what we would do is take a few falafels and couscouses (whatever the plural of coucous is…) and put it all in the middle so that way we can taste a little of everything.
The restaurant is really nice there’s a big terrace and the atmosphere is very family like.
This Leon is in the Spitalfield Market close to the Brushfield road entrance and if you’re really fan of the smoothies there is another Leon on the Strand you can also go to.

I really like this place! I used to have an internship near Brick Lane and we would go here on our lunch break sometimes. The food is quick, but really really tasty and not too expensive either.

Leon has a very trendy edge that you can taste in their food...it is not the typical Indian fare, nor is it your typical quick take away items either...it is the perfect blend of both! The service is friendly and fast and the quality is high, especially when considering that you get your food in literally a minute or two.

The food tastes fresh and healthy, and if you have a specific dietary request, most likely Leon will be able to meet it! Their menu dictates which items have low amounts of animal fat, which ones are wheat free, dairy free and gluten free and which ones are vegetarian.

Every time I have stopped in, it has been packed. So be sure to not be expecting a quiet meal. If however, you want to stop in for a quick bite to eat, this could be the perfect place!... read more
