What an amazing place!!! The unique name comes as a salute to Oscar Wilde...as his adoring fans would wear Green Carnations to symbolize their admiration and solidarity for him at events that he either hosted or was a part of in some way.

The best part about this place though is that a lot of the West End entertainers end up here after shows. If you are lucky you will get to see and hear some of the most talented performers London has to offer. They have a piano on hand for moments like these...and it is amazing to witness in person. Entire casts or mixed casts from all of the different shows will sing, dance and play the piano together...if you like show tunes or just good and extremely talented entertainment, definitely stop in and have a look...you never know who will show up!

The bar is quite small, and the drinks are expensive...and on nights when performers don't come it might be just a regular gay bar, but if you can grab a drink or two before coming, find a seat and just sip on a coke it is worth a shot, especially if you aren't able to see a West End show while you are in London. What a spectacle!!!
