Review of Neely

I went here on a random Monday afternoon with some friends. The ground floor is a bar and the first floor is a restaurant. We only had drinks so I cannot say anything about the food...although the prices didn't look too bad...about 8-12 pounds for a main course...unless you get fish...and then the prices double.

The beers were on par with price wise with almost any place in the city centre. They have a pretty decent wine list, cocktails, champagne, fruit smoothies...I would think most people could find something they like here.

I'm not going to rave about the place. It was fine. It lacked the charm that I would normally want from a bar/restaurant. It felt a little touristy...and being located right off of the Strand, between Embankment and Charing Cross, I'm sure the place can't help but be a little commercial.

I wouldn't not go back, but I don't see a reason to recommend it over anywhere else in the area. The bartender was quite friendly and knowledgeable about the drink selection...
