Buckingham Palace is the Queen's official residence. Whoever comes to visit London and does not go to Buckingham palace needs to be strongly talked to! This is where it all happens. Where the Queen resides, and although you will not be able to see a small portion of her personal living quarters, you will be able to visit and view The State Rooms of the Palace which, are open to visitors during the Summer season of August and September.
Unfortunately not everyone can visit to London during these months and if that is the case, then be sure to check a schedule for the Changing of the Guards, which is truly breathtaking to watch as well.
You are going to want to check ahead of time and plan accordingly in order to see The Changing of the Guards, as this happens periodically and is strictly enforced on a schedule. Again, this is one of those things that having a digital video camera, or camera is going to come in handy, visiting and partaking in events in London offers one so many memories, and when you can go and visit the Queens residence and be a part of all of the magic, it is something you will not soon for get.
