The Hummingbird Bakery in South Kensington is the little sister of the famous one in Notting Hill. I’m a big fan of high quality Bakeries and the Hummingbird is definitely a trap I love getting caught in! My favourite is the carrot cake which you probably will want to eat on one of the tables they’ve got there because it is three levels high and has a lot of cream in it in other words there is no clean and proper way to eat it. The cup cakes and the fairy cakes are also delicious even if they tend to put a little too much icing on them.
If you’re invited to a lunch or a diner instead of offering a boring bottle of wine why don’t you pass by the Hummingbird Bakery and chose a desert to bring.
