Being a newcomer to London, I found myself lonely and workaholic for first three weeks. On the fourth week I found a cute girl who become my first friend and asked me out on Friday night. What a night it was! We went to a night club called KOKO. KOKO was very different from other nightclubs that I used to go before. A night club in a former theater was a unique with remarkable ambiance. I still remember that. Four levels of Balconies, curtains, performing band, young and energetic and dancing crowd; woo, that was truly fantastic and fabulous. Hot girls, Chilled beer and Patrick Wolf on Stage made the perfect evening. Koko became like an addiction for me since then. Watching Virgins, The Bays, Micachu, and Ladyhawke performing from various angles and from multiple levels…wow, what an amazing experience!
I truly recommend this place guys! Try out at least once. Metro and buses can easily take you to this place and entry fee is only 4 Pounds before 12.
A good service, nice crowd, performing bands and affordable price is what this place offers you. Make sure to check out the details on their website to plan a right day to go there.

This place is amazing!! When I went here, I had no idea what to expect...I had been told that a band called Delta Spirit was playing there...and that I had to see them. I was able to use my student ID to get myself and a guest in for only 4 pounds. The crowd was very trendy, mainly young hipsters...and the place was spectacular. It reminded me of an old opera theater, complete with balconies and curtains...the band played on the stage and the crowd danced where the orchestra pit would normally be. Patrons were allowed to go on multiple levels and view the stage from various angles. When Delta Spirit came on, we were able to get pretty close...we got the balcony right above the dance floor, so we could see the band perfectly and watch the crazy crowd below. I would absolutely recommend this place for a visit, the energy was great and the venue is like few I've ever seen. The nearest metro is Morning Crescent and the area is well served by night buses.... read more
I went to the famous Koko only once and it was not such a long time ago. We went because my flatmate wanted to go see a group that was playing there. The entry before 12pm was only 4 pounds and the cloakroom 2 pounds each item. After having left my coat I entered the main room, looked up and realised that I was in a theatre! I wasn't expecting something like that, it's really really impressive! There are four different levels and four different sets of balconies. There is a bar on the ground level, on the second level and all the way to the top.
The concert was great; we were on the first floor on the right hand side balcony. We passed more time looking at crowd then the band that was playing!
For the toilets, it actually took me a little time to find them! for gentlemen they're on the third floor, they are really tiny and not too clean... that was a little disappointment.
It was a special night at Koko's because there was a concert so I don't know if it is always like this but the public was quite young I would say around 18 to 20 years old.
We left around 2am and there was a huge huge line up... if don't want to wait for hours try and come before 1am.
