Famous people like Dickens or Jeffreys would come to the Prospect of Whitby to have a pint and find their inspiration here. It’s an old pub from the 16th century and has become a London monument to be seen. This place is invaded by tourists but there is a reason for that there is a splendid view on the Thames river from the terrace and the balconies are suspended over waters!
Because of the great location and the great success it has the prices are very expensive even for a pint.
If you just finished visiting the Tower Bridge and you want to continue visiting London monuments you now know where to go and plus you can have a beer! The Prospect of Whitby is easy to find it’s just next to the Wapping Wall tube station and right next to the Thames on the north bank.
