People's opinions
The historic Shakespeare’s Globe theatre in London established around 1599 through exploiting wood and log from a former theatre by the playing party of the dramatist Shakespeare where Shakespeare himself appeared as an actor on the Globe's stage and it was owned by actors who were also shareholders in Lord Chamberlain's Men. The theater built for the Chamberlain's Men had a great capability of between 2,000 and 3,000 spectators. Re establishment of the Globe named "Shakespeare's Globe” which is around 230 meters (750 ft) from the site of the main Globe Theatre from Park Street; the dark line in the centre introduces the basis line where there was an area called the pit from where people would stand on the rush-strewn earthen floor to watch the performance. The stage of the Shakespeare’s Globe theatre in London was a plain platform about 43 feet in width some 27 or 28 feet deep fitted with a number of mechanisms and separated divisions that were artistically implemented by Shakespeare in his theater instructions. The Globe Theatre’s original infrastructure went up in flam on 29 June 1613 that was reconstructed in 1614, with tiles replacing flammable straw on its partial roof closed down by the Puritans in 1642 and pulled down in 1644, or slightly later.

If you are a theatre buff or if you just suffered through Shakespeare in English Lit...then the Globe Theatre could be of interest to you!! I really enjoyed my visit here and would highly recommend going if the history of theatre in London is something that intrigues you!!!
This place was built in 1972 as a memorial to the original Globe Theatre that was demolished in 1644 under the English Puritan Administration. The facility contains a theatre, education center and a permanent exhibition. The Theatre was designed with the original Globe Theatre in mind, however it is not an exact replica, as its exact design is not really known. Efforts were made however to make it as accurate as possible. For instance Green’ oak was cut and made according to 16th-century practice and the roof of the theatre is made of water reed thatch, based on samples found during the excavation of the original globe in 1989.
The Theatre season normally runs from April to October and tickets range from 5 pounds to 33 pounds, depending on seating area and concession offers. The Exhibition and Globe Theatre tours charge 10.50 pounds for adults and 8.50 pounds for students and senior citizens. Children are 6.50 and there are special deals for groups and families. While mantinees are being performed and a tour of the Globe Theatre isn't possible, visitors can attend the exhibition and get a tour of the nearby Rose Theatre. Tours begin 15-30 minutes and are included in the price of admission.
