People's opinions
I came here to meet a friend of my at one of the bars in the FBI Southbank just before going to the cinema, as I was a little in advance I strolled around the place and took a look: the place is entirely new and there’s a media store, bars, shops, and of course a cinema. It was a Saturday afternoon and there wasn’t that many people I was quite surprised.
As for the Cinema there is a big selection of films here and if you’re a fan of oldies then this is the place for you.
The seats inside are very comfortable no worries about that but the entrance fee is quite high…
The FBI Southbank is right next to the Thames and next to the Waterloo station.

When we went the theme was Nouvelle Vague and although we arrived a bit late, the people were able to get us tickets and even hold the film for us so that we could see it with the rest of the audience. There were no previews, the film just began as soon as we took our seats. Needless to say, these people are serious about film watching. Only the really hardcore should go here, I would recommend leaving your children and cell phones at home!!
Tuesdays are discount days when everyone is allowed to pay 5 pounds to watch whatever happens to be featured at the time. The rest of the time, non-members pay 8.60 pounds and non-members with concessions pay 6.25 pounds.
They recommend that you reserve your tickets in advance, since they tend to sell out quickly to members. We had no problems getting tickets at the box office prior to the show, but our choice of seating w... read more
