The Victoria and Albert Museum is mostly known as the V & A museum. It is one of the biggest if not THE biggest museums in London. If not I can only imagine the British museum being a little bigger. And because of that I would advise you to visit the V & A in various waves and not try to do everything in one day because it is simply not possible. If you only have one day to visit it I would advise you to only go to a few sections and leave the rest. As a priority I would advise the British galleries and the Europe section which has recently opened.

If you have more time at the first level you have the Chinese art, Japanese art, Korean art, Islamic art, Indian art and more.

Don't forget a map they give them out at the entry if not the chances are high that you will get lost I don't think that the indications and arrows were very useful.

Last and most important point the Victoria and Albert Museum is free unless there is a specific exposition.
