            Bradley's Spanish Bar
Hanway has got to be the Spanish neighbourhood of London there are more than one flamenco bars as well as tapas bars. Once you get in to Bradley's bar you completely forget you're in London it's as if you're in the heart of Madrid in a typical "cerbeceria". The deco couldn't be more Spanish, the ceiling is low everyone is packed in there and fighting to get to the bar. The bars served are typically Spanish like San Miguel or Cruz-Campo the wines are also brought from Spain. Even if I'm not a big fan of Spanish beer it is read more
            Milk and Honey
You have to come to Milk and honey once in your life. This cocktail bar is probably the most famous in London I know that they also have a bar in New York but I don't know how they are doing over there. Knowing how well they are doing here it can't be bad over there. The cocktails are simply incredible I think I looked at the list for over 40 minutes it really is amazing. I actually think it is worth coming here just to look at the cocktail list. The place is calm, very cosy and idyllic for savouring a delicious cocktail read more
            Norman's Coach & Horses
A cosy small old pub. I'd say that this Coach and Horses is a typical English pub, that's what I always say to my friends who come over to visit. And a true point is that apart from a few locals there are mostly tourists coming here. So I guess I'm not the only person who tells them to go there! The staff is very nice and the atmosphere is relax and not pretentious at all. read more
            Freud
There are art objects all over the place they make the place look a little more bohemian style cause if not it would probably look a little dull. The atmosphere is very artistic and bohemia. As for the drinks they serve original cocktails and the beers are only served in bottles. Mind the very steep steps, indeed the Freud is just underground and to get there you have to go down these steps which are more like a ladder! Make a mental note that It's easier to go up so if you drink a little too many no worries! you'll read more
The Victoria and Albert Museum is mostly known as the V & A museum. It is one of the biggest if not THE biggest museums in London. If not I can only imagine the British museum being a little bigger. And because of that I would advise you to visit the V & A in various waves and not try to do everything in one day because it is simply not possible. If you only have one day to visit it I would advise you to only go to a few sections and leave the rest. As a priority I would advise the British galleries and the Europe section wh read more
            Trafalgar Square
In the middle stands Nelson's Column and it is guarded by four huge lion statues. The name of the square commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. This square changed drastically once Ken Livingstone became mayor, because before this square was invaded by pigeons who would leave their droppings all over the place. What he did was band the feeding of pigeons and in no time their number drastically fell and now the square has become a beautiful place to visit. Trafalgar square is also a place where people tend to me read more
            Clink Prison Museum
Here is the famous prison who gave it's name to the expression "in the clink". The museum shows the conditions in which the prisoners lived and also a few torture utensils. The prisoners had to pay the guards in order to have a better quality of life so if you had rich friends on the out side you could more or less work your way through. If not the conditions were terrible. As for torturing breaking on the wheel or crushing under very heavy weights were all allowed. The people who where put in this prison where robbers, read more
            Metrogusto
Metrogusto is quite a good modern Italian restaurant. It serves pizzas, pasta, meat and fish so there is for all the tastes. If you're a vegetarian no worries just let the waiter know he'll let you know which dishes are good for you. The fish here is delicious ask what the catch of the day on the menu it is called "pesce di mercato" I went there with a group of friends we sat at a small table and didn't have a lot of space we were actually a little squashed, I hope it wasn't like that for everyone in the restaurant but it read more
            Glas
Now here's a really good original restaurant. My husband brought me here, I had no idea he knew a Swedish restaurant in London I was pretty surprised but happily surprised. The Glas restaurant serves you small plates with not too big portions so you get to taste different types of food. This is a good thing when you don't know a type of cuisine and want to taste a little bit of everything. As we shared each of our dishes we got a good taste of what Swedish cuisine was. I really advise you to try the herring it was delici read more
            Sangria
Just between Highbury Islington and Angel you'll find a great little tapas bar called Sangria. I lived for a while close to Highbury Islington and when I would take the bus from the centre to go home I'd some times have to get off at Angel depending on the bus and walk the rest of the way home. Each time I would do so I would pass in front of this Sangria Spanish restaurant but would never go in. It's funny how you never know those bars or restaurants that you always pass in front of. So I decided to go in and have a din read more
