We went to the Castle to have lunch on a week day and it was pretty full of business men but we managed to find a place to sit down and have lunch. There wasn't many different choices on the menu we had a burger with cheddar cheese, bacon and mushroom and a sandwich menu with a free pint for 5 pounds. I ended up paying just over 10 pounds for a diet coke and the burger, I thought it was a little excessive for what it is. Also, I'm not a hygiene maniac but the tables weren't very clean I think a costumer before us spilt his d read more
The Gallery was founded in 1824 but the location was different back then it was only in 1838 that Trafalgar square was chosen. This museum is probably one of the most visited museums in the world! the entry is free and it is simply enormous, you won't be able to see everything in one day so the best is to spread it out on various days or just visit one or two sections.
The National Gallery has one of the biggest collections of European paintings in the world. Paintings since the XIII century to the XX century are exposed read more
Every Thursday at the Moonlighting it's Candy Box night. The entrances start at 10pm and it closes around 3.30am. The entry fee is 3 pounds if you go in before 11pm with a flyer (the flyers are easy to find just go for a walk around Soho square and you'll find more than one person giving them out) and it's 5 pounds after 11pm (once again with a flyer if not you'll have to pay an extra pound). The entry fee is worth paying because once in the drinks are really not expensive knowing your in the centre of London.

Wow! now this is a business with a great idea! I was walking by the Walk-in Backrub and had never gone in so I decided to give it a good on a day where I was feeling grumpy and stressed out from a long day of work.
I just walked in and asked for the simple formula which is the ten minute backrub, I didn't even have to wait I simply took place and the massage started straight away. In all it probably took me less than 15 minutes in all! It really is the Walk-in Backrub.
And the backrub was simply great! very relaxing an read more
Looking to decorate your room or find a gift for a friend, well Portobello Nostalgic Images is a great place to go to. Even if the shop is tiny the choice is huge all the photos and advertising signs are packed up one on top of the other. The lady who holds the shop is really very nice and helpful, if you're looking for something in particular ask her she knows the shop by heart!
This shop reminds me of all the little shops around the Notre Dame of Paris. They all sell these metal nostalgic advertising signs like "La comp read more
This is a huge shop, quite similar to the W H Smiths or Waterstones except for that I think it was more specialised in some topics and probably covered less of the classical stuff. For example, the war and artillery section almost covers a whole floor as for normal fiction novels don't. The informatics section on the top level is good and there are many useful books for web designers and computer programmers.
The toilets are at the second level (they were the initial reason why I came to Foyles but after I ended up stayi read more
I think this is the biggest Starbucks coffee I've ever been to! The place is huge, you buy your coffee and all the stuff you want on the ground level then you can go downstairs to eat and drink what you bought at a table. There are over 10 people behind the counter all going crazy to serve each client. This Starbucks sells a lot of side products or what ever you call all the mugs and other Starbucks items you'll find them on the ground floor.
A funny thing with this Starbucks is that it is so busy with people so many peo read more
Books for cooks is a great bookshop, the choice of books is incredible I didn't know that that many recipes existed in the world!
There also a sofa where you can sit down and read, it's cool to know that they are not going to be annoyed by anyone who just sits and reads, some bookshops really want you to buy the books and not just sit there and read.
There's even a little cafe in the Books for Cooks shop where you can taste a few recipes and some cookery classes take place in the kitchen.
This is a really good address I read more
Jenny Lo is the daughter of a famous Chinese restaurant owner (which still exists a few blocks away). Jenny Lo’s Tea House has a good reputation for its noodle soup and the well prepared wok dishes. Whenever I go there I usually take the beef hofun which, a part froe the tea, is more or less considered as the house specialty. Instead of taking a desert I always have a tea which is not only delicious but also recommended by Doc Xu for its healing properties. The service is good and prices are affordable, you can have a dish read more
In this home style canteen you can have an early breakfast or lunch. For the early birds you can have a delicious sausage with black pudding and bacon, the perfect English style breakfast. The walls are decorated with old publicities and white and black photos. The Regency Café is also a great place to have an English desert. My favourite is the crumble dipping in custard cream. Once your dish is ready in the kitchen, they call out your name for you to come get it! read more
